These lenses capture the essence of anamorphic cinematography in an unprecedented form factor. The 1.5X squeeze ratio creates classic widescreen composition while producing signature oval bokeh and characteristic flares, with three distinct flare options offering creative flexibility. Through innovative optical design, the squeeze ratio remains constant throughout the focus range, ensuring consistent image character at any distance.
Advanced engineering enhances production efficiency through practical features. Unified gear positions across all focal lengths enable quick lens changes without repositioning follow focus or motor systems. The robust housing incorporates a long 270-degree focus throw for precise control, while built-in back focus adjustment eliminates time-consuming shimming procedures. Industry-standard 77mm filter threads and consistent front diameter streamline accessory compatibility, while exceptionally short minimum focus distances expand creative possibilities beyond traditional anamorphic limitations.
Notable features include
- Uniquely small and light anamorphic system
- Constant 1.5X squeeze ratio
- Smooth oval bokeh rendering
- Three signature flare options
- Five focal lengths from 27mm to 80mm
- Exceptional close focus capability
- Standardized dimensions & gear positioning across set
- Durable housing with built-in back focus adjustment
- Long focus throw for precise control
- Interchangeable PL/EF mounting
These revolutionary compact anamorphics unlock creative possibilities in previously impossible scenarios. Their combination of minimal size and professional features proves particularly valuable for dynamic cinematography requiring maximum mobility. From intimate handheld work to drone applications, gimbal operations to tight spaces, these lenses deliver authentic anamorphic imagery without the traditional bulk and weight constraints.
FILMED WITH NANOMORPH
REVOLUTIONARY TINY
Breaking the tradition of bulky anamorphic lenses, this revolutionary "NANO-sized" optic weighs 313g (490g in PL) and measures under 9cm (7cm in PL) in length. This exceptional portability enables versatile shooting across numerous setups—handheld, gimbal, slider, tight spaces, and even drone mounting. The compact form factor makes previously impossible shots achievable.
Most anamorphic lenses in the market cannot be lifted on drones with the weight limitations. This compactness of the Nanomorph series opens up new possibilities and options for drone pilots.
MORE FLARE OPTIONS
3 Flares options are available, Amber, Blue & Silver. Anamorphic lenses with blue flares are very common in the market and they fit perfectly with a sci-fi and cooler vibe. The amber option delivers a warmer and passionate vibe suitable for narrative and day/night shots, while the neutral silver flare can be adapted to different colors according to the hue of the light source.

CINEMATIC TRANSFORMATION
Anamorphic lenses deliver a wider horizontal field of view and shallower depth of field than spherical lenses, creating the distinctive widescreen look that defines cinematic storytelling.
Anamorphic Desqueeze Process
From 16:9 to cinematic 2.4:1 widescreen
With a 1.5x squeeze, the Nanomorph creates an impressive 2.66:1 aspect ratio on a standard 16:9 sensor after de-squeeze. Compared to 1.33x anamorphic lenses, Laowa Nanomorph delivers a much more pronounced cinematic aesthetic without the excessive size and image wastage that would result from 1.8x or 2x squeeze ratios.
FIVE FOCAL LENGTHS
CINEMATIC OVAL BOKEH
A 1.5x squeeze ratio also renders stretched oval bokeh which gives an artistic touch to the image.

A 1.5x squeeze ratio gives a stronger sense of compression and a more oval bokeh
CLOSE FOCUS DISTANCE
Anamorphic lenses tend to have longer closest focusing distance due to restriction of optical design. Nanomorph has one of the Shortest Close Focusing Distance among all anamorphic lenses in the market. Filmmakers could obtain a very close-up shots which renders much shallower depth of field and stronger bokeh. This offers a much higher flexibility in framing.

NO ANAMORPHIC MUMPS
In some cheaper anamorphic lenses with synchro focus designs in the market, the squeeze ratio varies when adjusting focus. Hence, there are some changes in the actual size of the subject. That's what we call anamorphic mumps. There is no way to correct in post and is not usable in professional shootings. Our Nanomorph guarantees a constant squeeze ratio at ALL focusing distances.
NEW PATENTED ANAMORPHIC STRUCTURE
For cheaper anamorphic lenses, anamorphic mumps made the lens un-usable at a closer distance (e.g. a 1.8x lens will become 1.62x when focused at 0.7m). For more professional designs out there, the lens is bulky and costs a fortune. That's the reason why Laowa decided to develop and invented this unique patented anamorphic design to guarantee a uniform squeeze ratio, promising optical quality, tiny size and affordable price which solves the struggles of every anamorphic user.
The anamorphic blocks are put behind the spherical elements and the focusing groups. These two groups compress the image, and hence the smaller anamorphic blocks can be used, which makes the lens tinier. Moreover, the image is formed and focused before the anamorphic blocks which maintains a constant squeeze ratio no matter if the focus changes.
VARIOUS MOUNTS AVAILABLE
